PT Indah Karya (Persero) is a state consultant who started his business before World War II as a private company owned by the Dutch who named Ingenieurs Bureau Vrijburg (IBIV). In 1961 the PN Indah Karya nationalized as state-owned enterprises. Since 1972 changed to PT Indah Karya (Persero) under the Ministry of Public Works.
PT Indah Karya (Persero) is one of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are engaged in the Construction and Management, was established on March 29, 1961. Head Office PT Indah Karya (Persero) is domiciled in Bandung with branch offices spread throughout the territory of Indonesia. PT Indah Karya (Persero) has two business units namely Indah Karya Register Certification Services (IKRCS) certification in the field of management, and Construction Services unit (ELJEKA) which is managing construction.
PT Indah Karya (Persero) was established with the goal helped implement the government in national economic development in the field of business Survey, Investigation, Planning Studies / Planning, Technical Planning / Design and Preparation / Supervision / Management / Management for Construction / Implementation of development projects, provision of personnel experts as well as activities and Certification in Management Consultancy.

Highways and bridges, water resources, flood control and drainage, clean water, sanitation and environmental engineering, and field well arsitetur and industrial buildings, hospitals, residential buildings and office buildings. The development of services sphere PT Indah Karya (Persero) starting from: Development Studies, general planning and technical planning, monitoring, advisory and analysis; now has provided Project Management services including Construction Management services as well as service EPC (Engineering Procurement & Construction). Client PT Indah Karya (Persero) consisting of government, BUMN/ BUMD, private and non-governmental organizations; with good funding from the state budget / budget, private funding or foreign funding such as IBRD, ADB, JBIC, etc.
