Responsibilities:

  • Work with Maintenance Superintendent to develop weekly, monthly and shutdown schedules for inclusion in the BMP (Business Mining Petrosea) plans by the Senior Mining Engineer with consideration to the work backlog and required resources to enhance the operational efficiency.
  • Plan and implement short term detailed mine execution plans using the BMP process and to provide the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis in order to enable short term control in term of achieving the long term mine plan.
  • Review defect notices and work requests in order to develop work backlogs.
  • Prepare and monitor the implementation of Shutdown planning in order to ensure all resources and materials are on hand when required.
  • Check and investigate all variances from target and report to Maintenance Superintendent in order to maintain data accuracy.
  • Originate, monitor and control requests for parts and resources in order to ensure they are available when required and without contributing to “overstock” and unnecessary storage of parts.
  • Support and advise Warehouse Controller regarding to stock level availability in order to determine accurate minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Record and documented all maintenance event in order to ensure all maintenance events are recorded accurately.

Requirements:
  • A postgraduate degree (B. Sc. minimum) in a relevant engineering discipline with Chartered membership of the relevant institute or organization.
  • In order to provide the mature advice required from these positions, a minimum of 18 to 20 years varied experience is required in the relevant Engineering discipline. This should include conceptual and facilities design, project design and management, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of facilities in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry. This experience should include a minimum of 5 to 8 years in a senior supervisory position on major projects.

Requirements:
  • Completion of secondary (12 years) education supplemented by 3 years technical training in telecommunications to diploma or equivalent. Good knowledge spoken and written English. Computer literate.
  • 4-6 years experience in the telecommunication installation and maintenance with background in digital electronics / Fiber Optics and radio communications.
  • Good PC skills with knowledge of MS Office / Visio packages. Knowledge computer networking and block wiring.
  • Work in accordance with supervisor’s instructions and follow international industry standards, and skilled technical practices. Work is spot checked by the supervisor.
  • Awareness of safety & protection standards for Oil/Gas/Marine environments.
  • Have frequent contacts with company employees up to Section Head Level to receive notification of faults and to arrange remedial action. Have occasional contacts with QTEL maintenance staff when attending to QTEL services faults.
