APPLAT Product Manager

Location: Indonesia, Jakarta

The Application Platform Product Marketing Manager is accountable for the subsidiary revenue of SQL Server, BizTalk Server and other application platform products in the Subsidiary. The ApplicationPlatform Product Marketing Manager understands, orchestrates, and makes trade-offs across elements including segment marketing, specialist sales, technical sales, partners and services. In addition, the ApplicationPlatform Subsidiary Product Marketing Manager directs and leads Application Platform customer campaigns and marketing activities, handles customer escalations; and delivers product, solutions and customer campaigns feedback to Corporate. This person is recognized internally and externally as a business and product marketing expert within his/her subsidiary.
 

An essential aspect of the role of Application Product Marketing Manager is to align the content, timing and delivery of marketing messages and outreach to Microsoft’s customers and partners. All relevant marketing teams need to work together to create the most impactful marketing strategy and execution plan possible by customer segment, minimizing ad-hoc and un-integrated customer and partner outreach. The various messages need to be very well aligned, with the end goal to think and act as “One Microsoft” and meeting the business objectives of Microsoft’s customer, initiative and product marketing teams by developing synergistic customer value propositions crossing product, segment and ecosystem boundaries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive revenue for Microsofts Application Platform products
  • Act as the voice of Application Platform by ensuring consistency of messaging and branding across all marketing activities. Amplifies the reach of application platform products by integrating with all segment marketing programs and communications.
  • Act as the voice of the Subsidiary and customers in that subsidiary by participating in monthly conference calls with corporate field to ensure proper tracking of execution performance by Operating Model.
  • Lead compete activities to secure Application Platform mindshare and walletshare with customers
  • Orchestrate with segment,DPE, CMG, audience marketing managers to develop specific marketing activities to help drive lead generation, revenue, interest, awareness, loyalty and satisfaction (as appropriate) within the enterprise, small and mid market customers, IT Pro, BDM, Developer, executive and partner communities.
  • Measure, track and report marketing metrics for future marketing activities as well as data for sales operations by Operating Model.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of practical experience in product, segment, audience, or relationship marketing.
  • Management experience is required or preferred as many in the role manage large vendor teams that sit on-site
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills (required)
  • Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and negotiate and collaborate effectively at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Self motivated, directed person; ability to build strong, lasting business relationships; ability to understand the customer and market trends


Retail Services Manager
Job Category: Sales


Location: Indonesia, Jakarta

Purpose:
The purpose for this role is to drive merchandizing and branding excellence for Microsoft consumer products (Hardware, Mac Office, Windows, Office FPP and Windows Phone) in Retail by working closely with both sales and marketing to develop and execute channel marketing activities including Point of Sales display merchandising, Retail Sales Promoters (RSP) training, retail display infrastructure development and deployment, retailer and Microsoft roadshows and etc. The role will need to provide thought leadership and strategic direction on Microsoft branding and presence in retail. The role will also require him/her to manage an outsourced Retail Services team to ensure that all retail merchandizing activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include:
1.Working closely with Category Managers and Business Group (BG) Leads to develop merchandizing collaterals and POPs that can be effectively implemented at retail with maximum impact.
2.Work with vendors and sales team to develop and deploy innovative merchandizing shelving in key retailers that meets Microsoft’s brand standards while ensuring high ROI.
3.Manage an outsourced Retail Services team to ensure that monthly objectives are met as well as driving a high level of visual merchandizing standard at retail and operational efficiency and effectiveness.
4.Working thru the Retail Services team to ensure Microsoft retail assets such as gondolas, demo kiosks, LCD TVs, POPs, etc are all accounted for at all times.
5.Organize and execute any consumer road shows while ensuring high ROI and channel marketing effectiveness so as to meet sales objectives during the events.
6.Support retailer led roadshows with relevant POS merchandising, demo kiosks and product display gondolas as well as promoter deployments.
7.Work with sales team to support and execute their channel promotions such as in store demand generation activities or partner events such as awards night and incentives programs.
8.Work with account managers to identify best locations for display and/or shelving investments so as to increase Microsoft’s presence in the retail space.
9.Develop and execute a systematic approach to RSP readiness so as to ensure that training goals are met together with a high level of effectiveness.
10.Ensure PC aisle at retail are well positioned to drive the value of Windows and increase Office attach thru creative retail POS.
11.Ensure all projects undertaken are completed within budget, on time and meeting KPIs together with a high level of partner satisfaction.

Preferred Working Experience:
Candidate need to have 7+ years of experience in retail marketing or channel marketing dealing with consumer or IT products in large MNCs with proven success in working with large retail accounts.

Education:
Bachelor Degree, Master Degree preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of retail and retail business models in market;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and good working knowledge of competitive products;
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with multiple levels internally and externally; ability to work in team structure.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to company and industry data and to assess trends.
  • Ability to communicate with people at different levels.
  • Strong drive for success and highly goal driven
  • Resourceful and creative in seeking solutions around problems while working in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about retail and consumer business.
  • Ability to multitask with high level of execution efficiency
  • Experience in marketing communication would be an advantage
